Relocation?

I currently reside in Minneapolis and I got a job offer in Knoxville, TN. My job is willing to pay for my relocation, and they've paid to fly me down to TN to see if I like this place before I take the job. (It's a lab job) I've already had 2 phone interviews with them. My question is 1) will I earn less than what I earn in Minneapolis b/c the cost of living is lower in TN. 2) How much is worth me taking the job. I'm not an upper management, We haven't talked about salary yet and I honestly do not know what to request if asked. But I can't request for the same thing I earn here, since I'll be leaving friends and family behind. What is the reasonable thing to request.

Just an aside what is knoxville like. I'm going from a bigger city(mpls) to Knoxville what should i expect.

Relocation?
You will be making less money if you take the job. But the lower cost of living will cancel out. You will be paying LESS for housing, food, etc. use this calculator to help you come up with a starting salary for negotiations with the new employer.
Reply:Find out what kind of money you`ll be making before making the move..You don`t want to move if you`ll be making less money........Unless you don`t mind take a cut in pay.....

Honestly, I WOULD NOT TAKE A CUT................
