Who thinks these Bush quotes are funny/scary/sad?

"You know, one of the hardest parts of my job is to connect Iraq to the war on terror." --George W. Bush, interview with CBS News' Katie Couric, Sept. 6, 2006

"I would guess, I would surmise that some of the more spectacular bombings are done by al Qaeda suiciders." --George W. Bush, on violence in Iraq, Washington, D.C., Aug. 21, 2006

"I think -- tide turning -- see, as I remember -- I was raised in the desert, but tides kind of -- it's easy to see a tide turn -- did I say those words?" --George W. Bush, asked if the tide was turning in Iraq, Washington, D.C., June 14, 2006

President Bush: "Peter. Are you going to ask that question with shades on?"

Peter Wallsten of the Los Angeles Times: "I can take them off."

Bush: "I'm interested in the shade look, seriously."

Wallsten: "All right, I'll keep it, then."

Bush: "For the viewers, there's no sun."

Wallsten: "I guess it depends on your perspective."

Bush: "Touche.---an exchange with legally blind reporter Peter Wallsten,

Who thinks these Bush quotes are funny/scary/sad?
To cut%26amp;paste a compilation of someone elses work.....
Reply:It's funny but not as funny as "Border relations between Canada and Mexico have never been better".
Reply:He doesn't write his speeches, literally no President has. He does mis-speak though. But I think it is a mistake to underestimate the man's intelligence based on this. I did like the last exchange with the shades wearing reporter, it was just a little humor. Suggestion: Loosen up a bit. I doubt one could find a past leader/President who hasn't committed some sort of language screwup.
Reply:Yes! they are funny, scary, and sad. And not always in that order.

that one about the bass is the one that bothers me the most. People elected a guy twice whose best moment "in office" was catching a fish on "his pong". It's like having Forrest Gump as your President.
Reply:I can't wait until he's history and no longer our president, he was by far the worst we've ever had
Reply:Sad, just so sad that he leads this country.
Reply:Here you go, Americans. This is your leader. You have the dubious honor of saying that you elected him. Twice.

*shakes head*
Reply:I always laugh at the silly remarks he makes. I can't believe that someone in such a high power job can be so dumb! I have never thought he was very bright. And that can be dangerous! Why? I don't want my Grandson who is in high school under the ROTC program going to Iraq and dying! My Grandson had seen this as an opportunity to further his education! Bush could get him killed!
Reply:It is mortifying that this man represents this great nation to the world.
Reply:Yep.. I watch his press conferences all the time, just to see what he will say next
Reply:How original!! I haven't seen this exact question on here a million times yet, so it must still be okay to post it again and again and again.

Yes Bush has had many slips of the tongue. Guess what! Clinton and Gore had their fair share too. I remember busting a gut when watching Rush Limbaugh's TV show back when Clinton was in office. He had several new clips every day. Why don't you attack Bush's policies in a dignified manner rather than just pointing out his poor ability at public speaking?
Reply:I think Bush is retarded
Reply:They'd be funny coming from someone not in the public eye. It's another example of how he has taken this country down in the eyes of the rest of the world. It's embarrassing and sad.

Some people work the tails off getting an education. Working while going to school, indebted for years - they actually know the value of a college education. These quotes are the result of someone who has been given things their entire life. An Ivy League education, no less. Shameful, and an insult to anyone that values hard work and study.
Reply:They're funny, scary and sad all at the same time.

But to be fair, some of the comments are him cutting up with reporters etc.-- that's not a biggie. Some can easily be misinterpreted.

Some others just who how inept a prez/speaker he is.

And we elected this bafoon twice? Sheesh.
Reply:HAHAHA worst president ever!
Reply:Sooo funny!!! I just love taking a piss at the yanks. But then again, I am not in a position to laugh. I need to share a few things with you about my country (South Africa, lovely place, but):

Our ex vise president believes that by taking a shower after sex you lesson your chances of getting HIV. When the newspapers reported his statement, he sued them for libel.

Our health minister graduated in Russia, and believes that the African potato, beetroot and garlic must be used in order to prevent aids.

A guy from parliament made an appointment to see our president. One year after trying to see the guy, he went to parliament, carrying a cake with candle, in order to celebrate his one year anniversary for trying to get an appointment. The speaks person asked him and his cake to leave the building.

Life is interesting, especially when you have a sense of humor!
Reply:They are funny and mortifying all at the same time. I'm embarrassed of our President almost every time he opens his mouth. I've got a ton of these quotes myself, it's amazing just how many there are.
Reply:Are these for real? Are you serious?! No way......
Reply:LMAO...haha, im sorry, Im Canadian, so i might have no right to say this to Americans, but President Bush is just a sad silly man. I have only heard asanine comments such as these come out of his mouth since he was elected into office. Well, regardless, good luck with your country, and thanks for these blurbs :D Brightened my day lol

Reply:"it depends on what the definition of "is" is"

everybody who is put in a situation to ad lib about 100s of different situations on a whim can make mistakes and not have the correct thought he is trying to convey revealed. If you say you have never done it you are lying to yourself.

why dont you get up on a podium and have people fire questions from every spectrum of American politics and see if you dont offend anyone or say something nonsensical

since bush is the only person you think cant speak or has said things what about these for a couple..
Reply:I think that they're scary as hell... to think this is the man that is in control of our country, our army, our families... and what's even scarier is that is was us who voted him in. He does have some good points, it's just hard to see them with all of the crap he pulls.
Reply:funny if he wasn't the president, sad because he is :)
Reply:SO what's your point? Everyone knows Bush is not an accomplished speaker. In written form, you can make it seem even worse.

"It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is" My kids know what the meaning is, but not the President of the United States, Bill Clinton?
Reply:He must be about the intelligence of your average educated American...

These quotes show that he is just a puppet, easy for his handlers to control. Or maybe it's just an act, make people think he's a harmless spastic.

Anyway, what should we expect from a country that elects a b movie actor president, it'll be Arnie next.

There's no democracy in the US, just actors being controlled by big money.
Reply:Damn sad and really scary.
Reply:Quotes are great, Bush said some funny stuff, but most of what you have here has been removed from the whole statement. Try including the entire conversation next time.

This kind of crap only fools the stupid.
Reply:Yeah they are funny

Pretty good to honest and funny to admit that the best momment in the last 6 years was a bit of personal satisfaction in the Great outdoors........ Do you want to be President for FUN?.

Yeah Scary,

Pretty scary to think that a radical islamist idealogy has suicided sic. the UN out of Iraq, Has bombed markets and mosques to start civil war. Has slit peoples throats on TV.

YEAH SAD.

To think that they should do all that with the objective for getting on US prime time.

SAD that some 20% of Americans would then change their views.

RATE GOOD DEBATE

smile not rile

Just when they are proving themselves more barbaric and repugnant than ever.
Reply:Bush must die %26amp; go to hell. He is the terrorist number one
