What do you think about this?

I had an interview today at a podiatrist office and I found it in the newpaper. Well it says you can apply 3 days- tues, thurs, or fri.

I applied the first chance which was tuesday. I got called for an interview and went today. I felt so nervous and it definitely showed I KNOW!! its so embarassing and i feel like i cant talk and give the right answer .. its like being put on the spot for me and I am just not good with that. Well anyway, i am going to school for x-ray and i told them that and she said that sometimes i might have to help give patients x-rays!! i mean thats so cool and thats what i am going to school for and it would be nice if i got the job but i just feel like i totally bombed it! I know i wasnt confident as much as i should have been but i smiled and tried the best i could at answering her questions. I feel like there will be someone else they like better b/c they showed more confidence and were not nervous. But I feel like I might have the skills of xray.

What do you think about this?
Well, how should I know? I wasn't there and can't read your interviewers' minds.
Reply:Listen if you have skill they will know by the way you answer their questions and by your resume if they saw one, sure you weren't confident but think about it this way most people aren't when it comes to job interviews. I also thinks it show a good side of you that you went at the first Chance it shows you really are interested in the job! The job does sound great for an X-Ray student i hope that you can get the job. Good Luck!

Hope it Helps%26lt;3
Reply:How many times are you going to ask this question and under how many different names?
Reply:Now that it's overwith there's really nothing you can do besides distract yourself with other things and hope for the best.

If you DON'T get the job, next time you go in for an interview try to relax and don't think about what you could do wrong. Instead just focus on the question and be sure you've prepared some answers.

Good luck!
Reply:its done with all you can do is hope you made a good impression on them
Reply:You have to have more confidence in yourself, you aren't going to get anyway with that kind of attitude.
Reply:First, calm down. Pray really hard. Expect the worst and hope for the best. You can't tell the results of the interview just because you showed your nervousness. It depends mostly on your attitude towards the work and how the interviewer sees you as a potential applicant. You were courteous, respectful and did the best that you can. All you have to do now is wait. While you're at it, why not try out for other jobs. Just think of it as gaining additional interviewing experience. So, when the second interview arrives, you are more well prepared for it.
Reply:Believe me when I tell you that you aren't the only young applicant for a job who is very nervous. Most employers understand that and look for other indicators of a quality applicant; like education and training. Your smile, your effort to present yourself well in spite of your nervousness and your honesty will be other things that the employer will look at. It sounds like a good opportunity for which you might be qualified. But, if you don't get the job, don't be discouraged. You might even call them and thank them for interviewing you and ask them if there might be something you could improve on that would help you in future interviews with other employers. You might get the job and you might not. There may be someone who is more experienced than you or whose credentials may have more appeal. That doesn't mean you were a bad candidate. Just think about ways you could improve in future situations and ask your best friend to "interview" you so you can get a little practice and build your confidence. Also, think about some of the questions you were asked in the interview and write them down. Then think about how you might have done a better job of answering the questions so you can work on your self-confidence. Job-hunting is a form of salesmanship. You're selling yourself, so to speak. Any salesman will tell you that it takes practice. P.S. I hope you get the job!
Reply:Congratulations on the interview. You did just fine.

If you don't get this job, at least you had the practice of an interview. Try to remember that it's not just them who has to like what they see, you have that right too. Try to look at it as a conversation from now on. You both want to get to know more about each other...not scare the begeesuz out of each other. Don't worry about what might be...make the best out of what IS.
Reply:I have found that I'm harder on my self than others are so the interview probably wasn't as bad as you think. You should sit down and list good points and bad points of the interview. That way you can work on weaknesses. Remember practice makes perfect. :)
Reply:If you were yourself and didn't put on a falsely-chipper act, then I'm sure they'll undertsand. Lot's of people get nervous at interviews.
Reply:You went. You did your best. What more can you do?

Did they say if or when they would reach you if you got the job? Did you ask what date they plan on starting their new hire for the job? These are good things to know so you don't wonder if you should still be waiting to hear from them.

You may want to call or drop by to see if they've decided - it shows you really want the job - gives the impression that you're eager to work, will appreciate/take the job seriously.

If you don't get the job don't take it too hard. Sometimes people can pull strings to get a personal friend or family member in. Someone may already have a shoe-in even before your interview -

If you don't get the job but still really want this kind of job, you can check back w/them later to ask about any other openings or future openings. Espec. during the next 90 days, just in case they decide they hired the wrong person and are thinking of replacing him.

Good luck and keep trying. Look for those people you click with. You'll soon have the interview thing down to an art. This will help you feel %26amp; appear confident.

PS - Confidence isn't everything. Many bosses respond very well to a humble attitude. Try a good blend of confidence in what you know and are studying but still humble (that you don't know everything about this job) Treat your interviewer with respect that they have something to teach you. Ask them questions rather than just talking about your skills/knowledge.
