Can anyone tell me about the admissions process into the NYU Dental Hygiene program?

Im looking to apply to the NYU Dental Hygiene 2 year Program for the Spring, and I need more info on the admissions process. I am currently a Registered Dental Assistant and have been for 2.5 years, and was a DA for 5.5 years before that. So I wanted to know if everyone gets an interview? What kind of questions do they ask you? How hard is it to get accepted? How much emphasis do they put on your grades, how much on work experience and com. service? Who are the best people to get letters of rec. from? How soon do you find out if youre accepted once you submit your app? How much does the whole 2 year program end up costing? If you already have classes like psychology, sociology, etc., what do you do in their place when its time to take them? I got a C+ in Biology, will they not accept me or make me retake the class before I can start the program? What is the living situation like as far as finding an appt.? Is the area where the school is safe? Thanks, I appreciate your help.

Can anyone tell me about the admissions process into the NYU Dental Hygiene program?
Go here. They know best.

A.A.S. Degree Program in Dental Hygiene

All students applying to the New York University College of Dentistry Dental Hygiene Program must meet the minimum requirements as follows:

The applicant must be a graduate of an accredited secondary school and have a grade point average of 2.5 (80 percent) with a combined SAT score of 1,000 or higher, or a grade point average of 3.0 from 12 credits of college study.

Biology and chemistry are the prerequisite courses that must be successfully completed at the high school or college level with a grade of at least 80, within a 10-year period before the student's matriculation at the College of Dentistry.

Graduate Equivalent Diplomas (GEDs) are acceptable; however, the applicant will need to prove grades in the prerequisite areas within a 10-year period at 80 percent, either at a high school or college level.

Foreign applicants are welcomed and it is best to seek an interview to discuss the process. Foreign transcripts are reviewed in place of accredited secondary school records.

Applicants must meet the health requirements of the College of Dentistry, as described on page 78, prior to the student's enrollment period and the beginning of classes.

All applicants must take a Writing Placement Test to determine student proficiency and further English requirement recommendations.

All applicants are asked to submit two letters of recommendation along with the application.

Transfer of credits is done after receipt of the official college transcript(s). The courses are reviewed for similar content and level. The transferred course must be a grade of "C" or better for liberal arts courses and "B" or better for science courses. All students who transfer courses must still meet the competency requirements found within the courses in order for the transfer to be completed
