My ex stood up in court and said that i abuse my prescriptions that i take for 2 car accidents that i recieved 3 herniated disks in my c-spine from, and have been this way ( in pain ) for 2 years. These dr.s are horrible in las vegas....
Needless to say, i am guilty of taking too many pills than prescribed, and have cleaned up for my next court date Sept 12th. The judge granted temp. sole custody to their dad, i have not even spoken to my kids over the phone, they got interviewed, and in the report, my kids revealed that he is abusive, physically and mentally to them, how coulld a judge hand them to such a person? Blood or not? Not to mention he left state for 4 years, which i consider abandonment, and never paid support, i took care of them , and he decided to move back after me begging him to for the kids, i wanted them to grow up with their father. MY MAIN question is... DOES ANYBODY know what my next steps are, what do i do to regain back custody? And what to expect? im clueless?

YOU CANNOT FIGHT THIS ALONE. YOU NEED AN ATTORNEY.
CALL THE NEVADA STATE BAR AND ASK FOR THE NAMES OF THREE ATTORNEYS FOR DIVORCE/CUSTODY. YOU CAN DECIDE WHICH ONE YOU LIKE AND THAT IS IMPORTANT. YOU NEED A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR ATTORNEY.
THE ATTORNEY SHOULD GIVE YOU A BREAK ON THE FEE IF YOU TELL HIM THE STATE BAR RECOMMENDED HIM.
BE SURE AND TELL HIM ABOUT THE ABUSE ASAP.
YOU MAY GET THOSE KIDS IMMEDIATELY. GOD BLESS.
Reply:With such a sensitive issue, I'd first hire a lawyer. You will need one. Get clean and sober! You are fighting for your kids! Get proof of his actions. If kids are old enuff' let them testify. Get proof he abandoned the children. Remember it is only tempory custody he has. Fight!
